Meaning: May I constantly find delight in Shiva, Whose blazing matted locks are adorned with hissing serpents and sacred ash, Whose third eye burns with destructive fire, And who is crowned by the youthful crescent moon.

धराधरेन्द्र नन्दिनी विलास बन्धु बन्धुर स्फुरद्दिगन्त सन्तति प्रमोद मानमानसे। कृपाकटाक्ष धोरणी निरुद्ध दुर्धरापदि क्वचिद्दिगम्बरे मनो विनोदमेतु वस्तुनि ॥३॥

Transliteration: Dharādharendra-nandinī-vilāsa-bandhu-bandhura Sphurad-diganta-santati-pramoda-māna-mānase Kṛpā-kaṭākṣa-dhāraṇī-niruddha-durdharāpadi Kvaciddigambare mano vinodametu vastuni

Transliteration: Jaṭā-bhujaṅga-piṅgala-sphurat-phaṇāmaṇi-prabhā Kadamba-kuṅkuma-drava-pralipta-dig-vadhū-mukhe Madāndha-sindhura-sphurat-tvag-uttarīya-medure Mano-gatam vinodayad-bhujanga-tuṅga-mālikām

Meaning: May Shiva, adorned with golden, flaming snakes and glistening jewel-hoods, Whose consort's cheeks are reddened with saffron, And who wears the hide of mad elephants as a garment, Remove all wanderings of my mind.

सहस्र लोचन प्रभृत्य शेष लेख शेखर प्रसून धूलिधोरणी विधूसराङ्घ्रिपीठभूः। भुजंगराजमालया निबद्ध जाटजूटकः श्रियै चिराय जायतां चकोरबन्धुशेखरः ॥५॥

Transliteration: Sahasra-locana-prabhṛtya-śeṣa-lekha-śekhara Prasūna-dhūli-dhāraṇī-vidhūsarāṅghri-pīṭha-bhūḥ Bhujanga-rāja-mālayā-nibaddha-jāta-jūṭakaḥ Śriyai chirāya jāyatāṁ chakora-bandhu-śekharaḥ

Meaning: May Shiva — adorned with the crescent moon and garlands of king cobras — Whose feet are bathed in the flower dust of celestial beings like Indra, And whose matted locks are radiant — Bring long-lasting auspiciousness to all.

ललाट चत्वर ज्वलद्धनञ्जयस्फुलिङ्गभा निपीतपञ्चसायकं नमन्निलिंपनायकम्। सुधा मयूख लेखया विराजमान शेखरं महाकपालि संपदे शिरोजटालमस्तु नः ॥६॥

Transliteration: Lalāṭa-chatvara-jvalad-dhanañjaya-sphuliṅga-bhā Nipīta-pañcha-sāyakaṁ naman-nilimpanāyakam Sudhā-mayūkha-lekhayā virājamāna-śekharaṁ Mahā-kapāli-sampade śiro-jaṭālam-astu naḥ

Meaning: May Shiva’s matted hair — glowing with divine fire, That burned Kama (the god of desire) to ashes, Adorned with the radiant crescent moon, Bless us with the wealth of liberation.

Transliteration: Karāla-bhāla-paṭṭikā-dhagaddhagaddhaga-jjvala Dhanañjayāhuti-kṛta prachaṇḍa-pañcha-sāyake Dharādharendra-nandinī-kuchāgra-citra-patraka Prakalpa-naika-śilpini trilochane ratir-mama

Meaning: May I delight in the three-eyed Shiva, Whose fierce forehead flames destroyed desire, Whose consort’s breasts resemble beautifully painted scrolls, And who is the master artisan of creation.

नवीन मेघ मण्डली निरुद्ध दुर्धरस्फुरत् कुहूनिशीथिनी तमः प्रबन्ध बध्द कन्धरः। निलिम्प निर्झरी धरस्तनोतु कृत्तिसिन्धुरः कलानिधान बन्धुरः श्रियं जगद्धुरन्धरः ॥८॥

Transliteration: Navīna-megha-maṇḍalī-niruddha-durdhara-sphurat Kuhū-niśīthinī-tamaḥ prabandha-baddha-kandharaḥ Nilimpa-nirjharī-dhara-stanotu kṛtti-sindhuraḥ Kalā-nidhāna-bandhuraḥ śriyaṁ jagad-dhurandharaḥ

Meaning: May the Lord, whose body is dark as new rain clouds, Who wears elephant skin, and binds the darkness of night, Who supports divine streams upon himself, Grant prosperity — the burden-bearer of the world.

Transliteration: Prachaṇḍa-vadya-caṅcala-tvalla-lola-pallava Dhvanipraṇadhvani-praṇamra-dig-dhughda-bambharam Chakravarta-cakra-bhramad-bhramatta-bhūta-vṛndaṁ Śiveti mantram-uccharan karotu naḥ śivaṁ param

Transliteration: Adṛśya-digvasunibhau mukhaṁ nimajjya yasya me Śiveti nāma ghoṣaṇaṁ sadā madeti niścalam Durārathaṁ tamaskṛtaṁ vipāśa-mukta-makṣaraṁ Śivaṁ namāmi Śaṅkaraṁ jagat-kāraṇaṁ vibhum

Transliteration: Ravindu-netra-racitaṁ ca divya-ratna-maṇḍanam Daśāsya-mastakaṁ vidhūma-candra-maṇḍalaṁ yathā Karotu naḥ karāvalambanaṁ ca Śambhu bhūtaye Namaḥ Śivāya śāntaye namo’stu Nandini prabho

Transliteration: Pūjāvasāna-samaye daśa-vaktra-gītaṁ Yaḥ Śambhu-pūjana-paraṁ paṭhati pradoṣe Tasya sthirāṁ ratha-gajendra-turaṅga-yuktāṁ Lakṣmīṁ sadaiva sumukhiṁ pradadāti Śambhuḥ

Meaning: He who recites this hymn, sung by Ravana with ten heads, At the end of Shiva's worship during the twilight hour, Will be granted enduring wealth, with chariots, elephants, and horses— Shambhu bestows upon him auspicious and ever-pleasing fortune.

Transliteration: Śivaḥ śaktyā yukto yadi bhavati śaktaḥ prabhavitum Na ced evaṁ devo na khalu kuśalaḥ spanditum api Atas tvām ārādhyāṁ Hari-Hara-Viriñc-ādibhir api Praṇantuṁ stotuṁ vā katham akṛta-puṇyaḥ prabhavati
